SUBJECT:       Proposed Amendment to HCC 21.44.040 and HCC 21.45.040 Dimensional Requirements (b) Building Setbacks (1).

 

 

The Commission initially discussed and held a public hearing on the proposed amendments at the September 7, 2005 meeting.  Further discussion was held at the meeting of November 30, 2005.  Amendments were made and a second public hearing was held March 1, 2006.  

 

The proposed ordinance, if approved, will remove the 20-foot setback requirement from certain rights–of-way within the Rural Residential and Urban Residential zoning districts.  There is a companion resolution that identifies the specific rights-of-way from which the 20-foot setback requirement would not apply. 

 

Recommendation:

 

The Homer Advisory Planning Commission recommends the Homer City Council adopt the ordinance as proposed.
