City of Homer, Port and Harbor Department is providing the enclosed application packet for a Fisheries Economic Development Grant to all Fish Dock Use Permit holders.  This program sponsored by the State of Alaska, Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development has made approximately one million dollars available state wide for qualified fisheries development projects.  The Port and Harbor Department encourages projects that might expand local processing capacity, improves product quality or otherwise strengthens the local fisheries industry.
