Re:                   CIP List Development

It is time to start the process of identifying and prioritizing projects for inclusion in the 2007-2012 Capital Improvement Plan. This process involves the public, the Council, the advisory commissions, and local non-profit organizations and agencies.

 

The schedule proposed for development of the CIP for this year gives each commission at least two chances to put the CIP on a meeting agenda. Final adoption of the CIP resolutions by the City Council is anticipated at the October 23, 2006 meeting. (New City Council members will have been elected at that point, but will not yet be voting.)

 

Please find attached the City of Homer 2007-2012 Capital Improvement Planning Process and FY 2008 Legislative Request Development Schedule for your review. Council approval of this schedule is the first step in the CIP process.

 

RECOMMENDATION: Approve 2007-2012 CIP Schedule and FY 2008 Legislative Request Development Schedule.
