Subject:           East End Road  & Thompson Drive Sewer LIDs

                        Final Acceptance and Cost Determination


 


The East End Road Sewer LID and the Thompson Drive Sewer LID are complete and Public Works has accepted the projects.  Below is an overview of the costs of the projects: (Final Assessments will be verified by the Homer City Clerk and Finance Department)

 

 

East Road Sewer LID

 

            Total Design & Construction Costs                                                       $131,254.57

            Plus 5% Admin on Property Owner Share        $3281.37

 

            Total Design & Construction Estimate                                       $131,154.00

 

 

Thompson Drive Sewer LID

 

            Total Design & Construction Costs                                                       $133,219.67

            Plus 5% Admin on Property Owner Share        $3330.50

 

            Total Design & Construction Estimate                                       $120,000.00

 

 

 


Determination of Assessments

 

East End Road Sewer LID Assessments

 

The total cost of sewer improvements associated with the  LID is $131,254.57. The City (HAWSP) is responsible for 50% of the cost of the improvements.  The cost to the property owners is $68,908.66 (50% plus 5% admin) .  There are  8 lots in the sewer LID (see attached  LID map).  The estimated per lot assessment is $8,613.34.  The original estimated assessment was $8,197.13.

 

Thompson Drive Sewer LID Assessments

 

The total cost of sewer improvements associated with the LID is $133,219.67.  The City (HAWSP) is responsible for 50% of the cost of the improvements.  The cost to the property owners is $69,940.34  There are 9 lots in the sewer LID (see attached LID map).  The estimated per lot assessment is $7,771.15.  The original estimated assessment was $9,285.71.

 

 

                                   

 

Recommendation:  The Council schedule public hearings and create the assessments for this project.
