Subject: Award Survey Contract Directly to Seabright Survey

Kachemak Drive Phase II Ware/Sewer LID

The City Council awarded the design of the above referenced project to Bristol Environmental and Engineering Services. This award included the design survey for the project.

Seabright Survey, a local Homer survey firm, was selected by Bristol to complete the design survey.

To reduce the cost of this work to the LID property owners, Public Works proposed to pay Seabright Survey directly. This would eliminate the mark-up (15%) that Bristol would normally charge the project and minimize design costs for the project.

Recommendation: The City Council approve awarding the survey contract directly to Seabright Survey in the amount of $65,000 and authorize the City Manager to execute all appropriate documents.
