SUBJ:              2007 Beach Policy

 

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission formed a beach committee, which met for several months earlier this year. The goal was to have an up to date policy that reflects the current needs and goals of the city. Since the original beach policy, a lot has been accomplished, such as code changes, signage, and the creation of additional parking areas on the spit. The new 2007 Beach Policy has updated goals and implementation ideas to keep Homer’s beaches as safe and enjoyable for all users and preserve the natural environment.

 

 

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the 2007 Beach Policy.
