SUBJECT: NOVEMBER 2007 MEETING DATES FOR CITY COUNCIL

At the last meeting Council inquired of the City Council meeting schedule for November.

The Regular Meeting Schedule for 2007 was approved with City Council meetings set for November 19 and 26. The November 19^th date was chosen in lieu of the second Monday (November 12^th) due to the annual AML conference.

This November the AML Local Government Conference is scheduled for the first week of November 5 – 9. City offices will be closed on Monday, November 12^th in observance of Veteran’s Day.

Logically, scheduling back to back meetings presents difficulties both for packet preparation and advertising requirements. Monday, November 19^th is also Thanksgiving week.

Upon discussion Council may decide to reschedule the November 19^th meeting or opt to cancel the first meeting in November.

RECOMMENDATION:

Discuss and decide if the November 19^th meeting will be rescheduled or canceled.
