Report on AML Board Meeting, 23-24 January 2007, Juneau

1. Approved minutes of 13 December 2006 Board Meeting.

2. Approved finance report.

3. Elected Kevin Smith to Board of AML Investment Pool.

4. Confirmed Ketchikan as site for November 2008 annual meeting.

2007 summer meeting is in Denali Borough 9-11 August.

2007 annual meeting is in Fairbanks 4-9 November.

Deferred setting sites for 2009, 10, 11 annual meetings to summer

meeting.

5. Decided to expand lobbyist (Ray Gillespie) duties to include

revenue sharing in addition to PERS.

Approved increasing contract from $48,000 to $68,000. Decided to

stick with revenue sharing source

of 6% of natural resource revenues, but to stay this year with

Governor's $48M recommendation.

Our spread sheet shows Homer-$304,310, Kachemak City-$94,281,

Kenai-$360,931, KPB-$2,413,069

Seldovia-$87,109, Seward-$184,951, Soldotna-$238,239; plus $25,000

each for unincorporated

communities like Anchor Point, Cooper Landing, Nanwalek, Nikiski,

Nikolaevsk, Ninilchik, Port

Graham, and Sterling.

6. Appointed Doug Stark to Climate Change Task Force.

7. Reviewed AML's Strategic Plan and decided to update it periodically.
