MEMORANDUM 07-178

TO:              MAYOR HORNADAY AND HOMER CITY COUNCIL

CC:              JO JOHNSON, CITY CLERK, CMC

FROM:          RENEE KRAUSE, DEPUTY CITY CLERK I

DATE:          November 15, 2007

SUBJ:           ALASKA ASSOCIATION OF MUNICIPAL CLERKS

                   ANNUAL CONFERENCE, FAIRBANKS, ALASKA

My attendance at the annual conference in Fairbanks was very exciting and educational.

I learned how to deal with difficult situationsText Box: “WHERE THE LAND ENDS AND THE SEA BEGINS”
To access City Clerk’s Home Page on the Internet: http://clerk.ci.homer.ak.us
by asking a simple question, “Why do you think, believe or feel that?”

Meeting and visiting with the other clerks from around the state was both very informing and enlightening about my new home state and how they perform the similar duties I perform.

There were many new and first time clerks and I look forward to establishing a lasting business relationship with them and learning from those that have been clerks for a longer period of time.

I would like to thank the Councilmembers and the Mayor for making it possible for me to attend this annual event.
