Re:         Staggered Terms for Public Arts Committee

              At the April 19th, 2007 meeting of the Public Arts Committee the following action was     taken:

 

             a. Proposed amendment to City Code in regard to appointments to Public Art Committee.  Proposed amendment by Mike Yourkowski unanimously approved.  Rachel was asked to forward to the City Council for approval

              18.07.060 Program Administration; Public Arts Committee.

 A. The City Manager shall administer this chapter.

 B. The City Council shall appoint a Public Arts Committee consisting of seven   members.  Prior to making appointments, the City Council may solicit nominations from the Pratt Museum, community arts groups, and the public.  Appointments will be for two  year terms.  Appointments may be for one year to facilitate staggered terms on the committee.     Members serve at the pleasure of the City Council.

 

 

 

             Recommendation:   Approval of Ordinance 07-19 to facilitate staggered terms.
