SUBJ: TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION FOR COUNCILMEMBER ROBERTS TO ATTEND THE ICLEI - LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR SUSTAINABILITY SAVING ENERGY AND SAVING MONEY CONFERENCE IN FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS JULY 10-13, 2007.

At the May 14, 2007 Regular Council Meeting Memorandum 07-92 was presented in the supplemental packet, however no action was taken during that meeting.

Councilmember Roberts has expressed her desire to attend the ICLEI conference scheduled for July 10-13, 2007 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In Memo 07-92 Special Projects Coordinator Holen has stated there may be up to $500.00 available through her Economic Development budget for training.

The Workshop Plus option is $450.00 and includes either conference registration and airfare or conference registration and hotel. Any additional costs would fall into Council’s budget.

Recommendation: Approve the requested travel for Councilmember Roberts
