SUBJECT:       An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Homer, Alaska, amending Chapter 21.60, Sign Code.

 

The Homer Advisory Planning Commission developed an ordinance, which, if approved, makes changes to HCC 21.60, Sign Code. Planning staff found that the current sign code did not incorporate regulations to the Town Center District (TCD), adopted with the approval of Ordinance 2007-52(A). The proposed amendment addresses the incorporation of the TCD into the sign code by extending the same sign regulation currently found in the Central Business District (CBD) to the TCD. The Commission held a public hearing on September 17, 2008 and approved the revision enclosed.

 

Recommendation:

 

The Homer Advisory Planning Commission recommends the Homer City Council adopt the ordinance as proposed.
