Subject: Fish Grinder Lift Station Upgrades 2008

On May 01, 2008 bids were opened for the above referenced Project. This project includes the replacement of the existing electrical control panel that was constructed and installed in 1989. The bid results are as follows.

· Tusk Corp. dba Liberty Electric, Homer AK $50,588.00

· Samson Electric, Anchorage, AK $57,500.00

Recommendation

Award the contract to Tusk Corp, dba, Liberty Electric, P.O. Box 1730, Homer, AK 99603 in the total amount of $50,588.00.

Fiscal Note

Funding for this project was budgeted in 2007 in the Port Reserve Fund, Account No. 456.380 in the amount of $55,000.00. The project was begun in 2007 with the design work and replacement of the control panel will be completed this year.
