Subject:          Title 21 technical rewrite ordinance

 

 

In the 2006 budget, funds were budgeted to pay for a technical rewrite of title 21.  The technical rewrite is a clean up of the existing code to make it more clear and remove inconsistencies. Staff and Attorney Tans have been working about a year and a half on this rewrite. The point of this rewrite is NOT to make major code (policy) changes; it is simply reformatting, reorganizing and clarifying existing code.

 

The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 18, 2008, and recommended the City Council adopt the draft ordinance.

 

 

 

Recommendation: Adoption of Ordinance 08-XX Title 21 technical rewrite.
