Background
The Lease Committee discussed Lot 13B/Snug
Harbor Seafoods at its May 18, 2009 meeting under New Business B. The Lease Committee requested a recommendation
from the Port and Harbor Advisory Commission regarding approval of an atypical
lease for Snug Harbor Seafoods on half of Lot 13B. Attached is the resulting memo covering the
request and Port & Harbor Advisory Commission’s response.
The Lease Committee discussed this further at
their July 9, 2009 meeting under Pending Business C. The following motion was passed:
ALDERFER/HARVILLE –
MOVED THAT THE LEASE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS CITY COUNCIL DIRECT THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO LEASE NEGOTIATIONS WITH SNUG HARBOR AND THAT THE LEASE BE NO
LONGER THAN ONE YEAR IN DURATION.
VOTE. YES.
NON-OBJECTION. UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
Motion carried.

Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to enter into
lease negotiations with Snug Harbor Seafoods for a lease with a term of one
year.
