SUBJ:              2009 Land Allocation Plan

 

 

  1. The resolution includes direction to the administration to dedicate road access for Virginia Lynn Way, across Lot 2 Block 4 Lakeside Village Subdivision Amended. What would the Council like to do with the remainder of the lot? The remainder will be approximately 4000 square feet, which is too small to sell as a usable lot, and there is a restriction in it in the form of a public use easement. Direction at this time will allow staff to work with a surveyor to get this task accomplished.

Staff recommends the Council dedicate the remainder as a public park.

 

  1. Homer Spit properties. Please see the map. At the work session, the Council and Commission discussed various alternatives; sell, lease, or hold the land. 

 

Background:

·         Resolution 2007-53 stated “lots 14-35, RFP process should be delayed until the master parking plan and overslope development standards and issues are dealt with.”  This was based on the Memorandum 07-23 from the Port and Harbor Advisory Commission, wherein the Commission made this recommendation, and the Council included it in the resolution.

·         This year, in Memorandum 09-24 The Port and Harbor Commission recommended the Council RFP lots 19-26.

Staff Recommendation: Discuss what to do with these lots and amend the resolution accordingly.
