SUBJECT:	Prisoner Meal Contract

The prisoner meal contract went to bid in 2008 and was awarded to the Homer Senior Center. This is a three year contract that must be renewed by both parties on an annual basis. The contract is currently set to expire on June 30^th, 2009.

The senior center has expressed interest in renewing for the following year by sending the attached letter. The center has provided very good service. I recommend we obtain council approval to renew the meal contract with the Homer Senior Center commencing on July 1^st, 2009, ending on June 30th, 2010.
