Session 08-19 a Special Meeting of the Homer City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Hornaday at the City Hall Cowles Council Chambers located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, Homer, Alaska and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The agenda approved by consensus of the Commission.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

A.        Review Proposals for General Counsel Legal Service – Executive Session

 

Mayor Hornaday called for a motion for executive session to deliberate the proposals for General Counsel Legal Service.

 

WYTHE/NOVAK SO MOVED.

 

There was no discussion.

 

VOTE: YES: ROBERTS, WYTHE, SHADLE, HOWARD

            NO: NOVAK

 

Motion carried.

 

Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:05 p.m. for deliberations and resumed the Special Meeting at 8:14 p.m.

 

Mayor Pro Tempore Novak announced that the Council reached consensus on interviewing four attorneys on July 28, 2008 starting at 2 p.m.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

There being no further business to come before the Council the Special Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. by Mayor James C. Hornaday. The next Regular Meeting is Scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The next Special Meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. and the next Committee of the Whole is scheduled for July 28, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. All meetings will be held in the City Hall Cowles Council Chambers located at 491 E.
