COMMENTS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

Councilmember Ladd commented on how surprisingly close these elections results are to the results of the survey; very, very close. He voiced his belief that in retrospect the Council needs to look at that survey and other items with it and say that this is pretty representative of the community.

Councilmember Stark concurred with Councilmember Ladd. He advised that he has done extensive review of the Citizen Survey taken in November of 2002 and that he took particular attention to the people that were interested in having Fred Meyer come to Homer. He stated that there are some other issues that garnered a lot of attention by the respondents to the survey, a 50% sample of all of the registered voters in Homer, greater than the election turnout. He voiced his thought that there are some issues there, that he has worked on the last year and a half that he has been on the Council, and that he thinks there are some issues that may be coming up.
