AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A GRANT OF $68,000.00 FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME GRANT FOR THE FISH WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the State Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish has granted the City of Homer $68,000 for a Fish Waste Disposal System; and

WHEREAS, $50,000 has been allocated for the spring of FY00 and $18,000 has been allocated for FY01; and

WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement by and between the State Department of Fish and Game and the City of Homer is a part of this grant receipt.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. The grant award from the State of Alaska Department of Fish and Game Grant for the Fish Waste Disposal System in the amount of $68,000 is hereby accepted and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 2. The sum of $68,000.00 is hereby appropriated to the following account in the respective amount:

Section 3. A copy of the budget shall be certified by the City Clerk and filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

Section 4. This ordinance is limited to approval of the budget and appropriations for Calendar Year 2000 and shall not be included in the City Code.

Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon enactment.
