AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, APPROPRIATING $34,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FLEET RESERVE FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE USED POLICE VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the City of Homer's 2000 budget for the Police Department Fleet Reserve fund has a balance of $42,934; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department typically purchases two vehicles every other year and based on this schedule two vehicles would be purchased in 2000, however there is insufficient funds to purchase two new vehicles, but there are sufficient funds to purchase three used police vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:
Section 1. The City Manger is authorized to purchase three used police vehicles funded by the Police Department Fleet Reserve fund in the amount of $34,000.
Section 2. The sum of $34,000.00 is hereby appropriated to the following account in the respective amount:

Section 3. A copy of the budget shall be certified by the City Clerk and filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
Section 4. This ordinance is limited to approval of the budget and appropriations for Calendar Year 2000 and shall not be included in the City Code.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon enactment.
