AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOMER AMENDING THE OFFICIAL MAINTENANCE MAP OF THE CITY OF HOMER BY ADDING 1300 LINEAL FEET OF HAZEL AVENUE AND 460 LINEAL FEET OF POOPDECK STREET FOR PERMANENT MAINTENANCE.

WHEREAS, the City of Homer has determined that it is necessary to provide minimum standards to regular design and construction of public streets, roads, and highways within the City of Homer; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance 85-14 adopted July 2, 1985 provides appropriate street design and construction standards as well as an official maintenance map to record streets officially accepted for maintenance; and

WHEREAS, such ordinance also provides that the City shall not accept maintenance responsibility for any road or street which is not constructed or reconstructed to the adopted standards unless the road is shown on the Official Maintenance Map of the City of Homer; and

WHEREAS, an additional 1300 lineal feet of Hazel Avenue and 460 lineal feet of Poopdeck Street have been duly inspected, reviewed, approved by the Department of Public Works and recommended for acceptance by the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. Section 11.04.55 Official Maintenance Map adopted is hereby amended per provisions of sections (a) through (e) to included the following additional street for permanent maintenance by the City of Homer and recorded as amendments #39 and #40 on the Official Maintenance Map:

#39 Hazel Avenue, 1300 lineal feet - or .247 mile.

#40 Poopdeck Street, 460 lineal feet - or .088 mile.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption by the Homer City Council.
