AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $70,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FLEET RESERVE FOR THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT UTILITY VEHICLE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City o f Homer's 2000 Budget for the Fire Department Fleet Reserve fund has a balance of $132,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department needs to replace a 1974 Jeep Utility vehicle due to excessive wear, age, and unreliability with a new four-wheel-drive utility vehicle with an enclosed service body; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has sufficient funds to purchase and place into service the vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:
Section 1. That $70,000 is appropriated from the General Fund Fleet Reserve for the purchase of a Replacement Utility Vehicle for the Fire Department to the following account:
