AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING AN USDA GRANT FOR KACHEMAK NORDIC SKI CLUB AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club applied for a grant from the USDA Forest Service through the City of Homer; and

WHEREAS, the USDA has awarded Kachemak Nordic Ski Club $7,000.00 to purchase a new snowmachine and roller for grooming trails; and

WHEREAS, the local match is $1,750 and will be provided by the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Homer City Council hereby accepts and appropriates the USDA Grant for the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club in the amount of $7,000.00 in the following manner and authorizing the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
