AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A REIMBURSEMENT GRANT OF $10,000.00 FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT.

WHEREAS, the Homer Police Department agrees to assist the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation by conducting Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspections; and

WHEREAS, this safety inspection program assists the Homer Police Department in ensuring general safety of Homer's motoring public; and

WHEREAS, this is a reimbursement grant through invoicing the state for vehicle safety inspections costs incurred by the Homer Police Department up to $10,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the reimbursement grant from the Alaska Department of Transportation is accepted and appropriated up to $10,000 as follows:

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the grant agreement.
