AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING AN ALASKA HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,103.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF PORTABLE BREATH TEST DEVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, Homer Police Department requested a grant from the Alaska Highway Safety Office (AHSO) in the amount of $5,103.00 for portable breath test devices; and

WHEREAS, the City's match is $567.00 and is already budgeted; and

WHEREAS, the grant has been approved and this funding will purchase twelve new unites.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That this grant is accepted from the AHSO in the amount of $5,103 and shall be appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
