AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE MATCHING GRANT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF BULLET PROOF VESTS IN AN AMOUNT UP TO $2,406.87, APPROPRIATING THE CITY'S MATCH OF UP TO $2,406.87 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, Homer Police Department applied for and received a matching grant from the Bureau of Justice for assistance in purchasing bullet proof vests; and

WHEREAS, the City's match is $2,406.87 if the full grant amount is used.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That this matching grant is accepted from the Bureau of Justice in the amount of $2,406.87 and the City's in match is approved in the amount of $2,406.87 and shall be appropriated as follows:
