ORDINANCE 01-23

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING, FOR JACK GIST PARK, A GRANT FROM THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,225.00, A GRANT FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES IN THE AMOUNT OF $169,792.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, a grant has been received from the Kenai Peninsula Borough in the amount of $31,225 for Jack Gist park; and

WHEREAS, a grant has been received from the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $169,792; and

WHEREAS, the City's match is $169,792 and will be an in-kind match met through engineering services, placement of the required fill, volunteer labor, etcetera; and

WHEREAS, the total project cost is estimated at $339,584; and

WHEREAS the drainage improvements have been awarded in the amount of $29,000 via Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer ordains:

Section 1. That the grant from the Kenai Peninsula Borough and the grant from the State of Alaska Department of Natural resources are accepted and appropriated as follows as well as the City's in kind match.
