ORDINANCE 01-28(A)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL TO PLACE ON THE OCTOBER 2, 2001 GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION BALLOT, PROPOSITIONS PERTAINING TO FUNDING NON PROFITS FROM THE CITY
OF HOMER GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, each year the City Council appropriates certain specified funds for non profits; and
WHEREAS, during the 2000 and 2001 Budget process the City Council appropriated non profit funds to the Homer
Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Council desires that the voters of the City of Homer voice, through the election/ballot process, their direction
for the Council regarding the funding of non profits.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:
Section 1. That the October 2, 2001 General Municipal Election Ballot contain the following proposition, for advisory
vote:
PROPOSITION 1.
Shall the City of Homer fund non profit entities from the General Fund?
YES ____________ NO_____________
Section 2. This proposition shall become effective upon certification of the election.
