AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDING FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,940.00 FOR UPGRADING PLUMBING FIXTURES IN THE JAIL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Homer Police Department's jail needs an upgrade of plumbing fixtures, specifically toilet and shower fixtures; and

WHEREAS, the Homer Police Department has projected the cost of the fixture upgrades at $10,940.00; and

WHEREAS, the State Department of Corrections has agreed to fund the entire cost to replace the fixtures.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the funding from the State Department of Corrections in the amount of $10,940.00 is hereby accepted and appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
