ORDINANCE 01-42

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH GRANT FOR TOBACCO ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,500.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, Homer Police Department has been involved in the Tobacco Enforcement Program since 1998; and

WHEREAS, the Tobacco Enforcement Program is essential to help reduce the use of tobacco by minors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the grant is accepted from the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Division of Public Health in the amount of $5,500.000 and shall be appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
