ORDINANCE 01-50

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $3,250.00 FROM THE HOMER POLICE DEPARTMENT JAIL ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PRISONER TRANSPORT VAN.

WHEREAS, the City of Homer's 2001 budget for the Police Department Jail Account had funds allocated for jail plumbing fixture replacement which has a balance of $4,000 due to grant money received for these improvements; and

WHEREAS, the Police Department has the opportunity to purchase a 1995 van from the State for $3,250.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to purchase a used van from the State in the amount of $3,250 funded by the Police Department Jail account appropriated as follows:

Section 2. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
