ORDINANCE 02-18(S) City Manager

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE RESERVE FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) LIFEPAK 12 CARDIAC MONITOR / DEFIBRILLATORS

WHEREAS, Homer Volunteer Fire Department has an opportunity to purchase at nearly half-price PhysioControl LikePak 12 cardiac monitor/defibrillators that were provided during the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City with full manufacturers warranties, and;

WHEREAS, these units will meet the current and anticipated needs at a nationally recognized "Standard of Care" for at least the next 5-7 years, and;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That $30,000 is hereby appropriated from the Fire Department Vehicle Reserve Fund for the purchase two (2) LifePak 12 cardiac monitor / defibrillators as follows:

Section 2. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
