ORDINANCE 02-30

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION GRANT FOR AN INFILTRATION AND INFLOW STUDY IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,100.00.00, AUTHORIZING A TRANSFER OF $21,900.00 FROM THE WATER AND SEWER RESERVE FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, This grant is for an infiltration and inflow study, including preparation for a report identifying areas requiring additional work or study; and

WHEREAS, The estimated eligible costs for this project are $73,000 and the total grant is limited to seventy percent (70%) or $51,100.00; and

WHEREAS, The City of Homer will fund the remainder of the project through the water and sewer reserve fund in the amount of $21,900.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the grant is accepted from the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Facility Construction and Operation in the amount of $51,100.000, funds are appropriated from the Water and Sewer Reserve Fund in the amount of $21,900.00 and shall be appropriated as follows:
