ORDINANCE 02-31

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING HOMER CITY CODE, STREET AND HOUSE NUMBERING, SECTION 11.12.030, DUTY OF PROPERTY OWNER.

WHEREAS, A discrepancy has been identified between the Homer City Code §11.12.030 and the State of Alaska adopted International Fire Code §505.1.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. Homer City Code Section 11.12.030 is hereby amended to read as follows:

11.12.030 Duty of property owner. It is the duty of all owners to number their properties by posting numerals at least three inches high address numbers that are Arabic numerals, a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) in color contrasting with the background in such manner and location as to be plainly visible from the street. (Ord. 80-8 §1, 1980; prior code §14-600.2).

Section 2. This ordinance is of a permanent and general character and shall be included in the City Code.
