ORDINANCE 02-38

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A RASMUSON FUND GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00, A TONY HAWK FOUNDATION GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING A TRANSFER FROM THE GENERAL FUND - FUND BALANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.00 FOR THE SKATEBOARD PARK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The grant from the Rasmuson Fund is $19,000.00 outright and a $6,000.00 one on one match challenge; and

WHEREAS, The grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation is $10,000.00 is an outright grant; and

WHEREAS, The administration is requesting an additional $20,000.00 from the General Fund - Fund Balance to be allocated strictly for paving the skateboard park.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer ordains:

Section 1. That the Rasmuson Fund Grant in the amount of $25,000.00, the Tony Hawk Foundation Grant in the amount of $10,000.00 and the transfer from the General Fund - Fund Balance are hereby accepted and/or appropriated as follows:
