ORDINANCE 02-45

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $10,000.00 FROM THE CITY COUNCIL’S BUDGET, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, FOR A COMMUNITY SURVEY.

WHEREAS, The City Council has been considering a Community Wide Survey since mid year 2001 and approved Memorandum 01-39 at the June 11, 2001 Regular Meeting; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has discussed the survey, survey process and developed survey questions during the Committee of the Whole meetings and Regular meetings; and

WHEREAS, Council approved Memorandum 02-40(A) during the August 12, 2002 Regular Meeting and adopted Resolution 02-69 during the October 14 Regular Meeting, directing the City Manager to contract services with National Research Center, Inc. to conduct the Community Survey; and

WHEREAS, The fiscal note on Resolution 02-69 states, not to exceed $10,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:

Section 1. That the appropriation of $10,000.00 from the City Council’s Budget for Professional Services is hereby appropriated as follows:

From Expenditure 100.5210.100 City Council Professional Services $10,000.00

To Expenditure 100.5213.100 Community Survey $10,000.00

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents to contract with National Research Center, Inc. and to conduct the Community Survey in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
