ORDINANCE 03-02

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $5,000.00 FROM THE PLANNING RESERVES FUND FOR THE TOWN SQUARE PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Town Square Task Force has discussed the need for professional services for the Town Square Project; and

WHEREAS, Councilmembers Beck and Yourkowski recommend expenditure of the $5,000.00 that would include professional consultant services to address the economic feasibility, design and tax incremental financing of the Town Square Project; and

WHEREAS, A second expenditure of $5,000.00 would cover the costs of a community planning event for the Town Square Project; and

WHEREAS, A third expenditure of the $5,000.00 would cover the cost of GIS Maps.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :

Section 1. That the appropriation of $5,000.00 is from the Planning Reserves Fund and shall be appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
