ORDINANCE 03-14

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A GRANT OF $13,500.00 FUNDED BY THE FEDERAL SPORT FISH RESTORATION ACT AND MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME AND THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR AN ADA ACCESSIBLE FISH CLEANING IMPROVEMENT AT THE FISHIN’ HOLE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, This grant is in addition to the original and amended grant; and

WHEREAS, The original grant dated August 13, 1997 provided improved sport fishing access for the mobility impaired at the Fishin Lagoon; and

WHEREAS, Amendment 1. dated August 12, 1998 provided funding to harden the outer banks of the Fishin Lagoon for improved sport fishing for the mobility impaired; and

WHEREAS, Amendment 2. reimburses the City for constructing an ADA accessible fish cleaning improvement at the Fishin Hole.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :

Section 1. That the grant funded by the Federal Sport Fish Restoration Act and matching funds from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) and the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR) for an ADA accessible fish cleaning improvement at the Fishin’ Hole is hereby accepted and shall be appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
