ORDINANCE 03-19(S)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $30,028.00 FROM THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT FLEET RESERVES, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE PATROL CAR FROM
WORTHINGTON FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF $22,028.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, The Homer Police Department (HPD) obtained bids for a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor patrol
vehicle; and
WHEREAS, Worthington Ford of Anchorage, Alaska submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of
$22,028.00; and
WHEREAS, HPD recommends purchasing the vehicle from Worthington Ford; and
WHEREAS, Equipping the new car with lights, sirens, radios and other miscellaneous items is estimated to cost $8,000.00;
and
WHEREAS, HPD has a balance of $33,000.00 in their fleet reserve fund, Acct. 152-382.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to expend up to $30,028.00 from Acct. 152.382 for the purchase of
one patrol car and patrol car accessories..
