ORDINANCE 03-35

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A REIMBURSABLE GRANT OF $2.500.00 FROM THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE FOR INTERPRETIVE INFORMATION AT PARKS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The US Fish and Wildlife Service has granted the City of Homer a reimbursable grant in the amount of $2,500.00 to allow the Service and the City to jointly provide interpretive information and location information to Homer residents and visitors through signs at Bishop's Beach Park, Chamber of Commerce, Pratt Museum, Alaska Islands and Oceans Visitor Center, Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Kachemak Bay State Park, Ferry Terminal land Alaska Department of Fish and Game; and

WHEREAS, The City's is providing in kind contributions in the amount of $9,500.00 for personnel/labor, materials, services, facilities, incidental funds, sign location, equipment to install signs, site work that might be necessary for leveling or barrier rock, input, maps and review of Bishop's Beach/Beluga Slough trail head sign.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :

Section 1. That the rEIMBURSABLE grant of $2,500.00 is hereby accepted from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for interpretive information at parks as follows:

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
