ORDINANCE 04-07(C)

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A REIMBURSABLE GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $325,000.00 FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME, DIVISION OF SPORT FISH, FOR CONSTRUCTING PLUMBED AND NON PLUMBED RESTROOMS AND FISH CLEANING SITE AND THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) has granted the City a reimbursable grant in an amount not to exceed $325,000.00; and

WHEREAS, The Cooperative Agreement states that the purpose is to provide public recreational boating and sport fishing use of Homer Harbor by constructing and maintaining plumbed and non plumbed rest rooms and fish cleaning tables; and

WHEREAS, Port/Harbor has been working with ADFG to secure funding for the construction of a replacement plumbed restroom facility at Ramp 4, new plumbed restroom facility near Freight Dock Road, Ramp 5, new waterless double restroom unit at the Load and Launch Ramps and a new fish cleaning site at Ramp 6.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:

Section 1. That the ADFG reimbursable grant is hereby accepted and appropriated as follows:

Section 2. That the City Manager is Authorized to execute the appropriate documents including the Cooperative Agreement with ADFG.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
