ORDINANCE 04-10
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, APPROPRIATING $37,800.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND POLICE
DEPARTMENT FLEET RESERVE FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO PATROL VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, There is a Police Department Fleet Reserve Fund balance of $37,874 in the 2004 Budget; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Police Department has traditionally purchased Ford Crown Victorias; and
WHEREAS, The Dodge Intrepid Patrol cars are front wheel drive, good winter vehicles, and approximately $4,000.00 less per vehicle than the Ford
Victoria, including shipping costs; and
WHEREAS, The Kenai Police Department has relayed positive comments regarding the Dodge Intrepid; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Dodge in Orlando Park, Illinois is one of the few dealers that still has a supply of police duty vehicles and is the only responsive
bidder in the amount of $37,712.00 for two Dodge Intrepid Patrol vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Homer City Council:
Section 1. The City Manger is authorized to purchase two Dodge Intrepid Patrol vehicles from Thomas Dodge in Orlando Park, Illinois in the
amount of $37,712.00; and
Section 2. The sum of $37,800.00 is hereby appropriated as follows:

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
