ORDINANCE 04-13





AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING PASS THROUGH FUNDS FROM THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD FOR ADDITIONAL BERTH MODIFICATIONS TO THE CITY OF HOMER'S PIONEER DOCK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the City of Homer are partners in the construction of the Pioneer Dock; and

WHEREAS, The United States Coast Guard (USCG) requests an amendment/modification to their lease with the City of Homer regarding the Pioneer Dock for the mooring, support storage and official parking for the USCGC Hickory or other vessel; and

WHEREAS, The USCG agrees to pay the City of Homer $350,000.00 for the modifications that include:

Work to modify all five floating bollards to prevent them from hitting the pile cap; and

To add clump weight to all bollards and to accomplish emergency repairs to pile cap A., accomplished in December 2003.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:

Section 1. That the pass through funds from the USCG are hereby appropriated as follows:

Section 2. The City Manager is execute the appropriate documents.

Section 3. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
