ORDINANCE 04-36

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING AN ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ADOT) REIMBURSEMENT OF UP TO $6,605.00 FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Homer Police Department (HPD) has received a contract from ADOT for reimbursement for Commercial Vehicle Inspections; and

WHEREAS, The state will reimburse the HPD up to $6,605.00; and

WHEREAS, This is at a rate of $95.00 for a level one inspection, $75.00 for a level two inspection and $25.00 for a level three inspection; and

WHEREAS, Additionally HPD will be provided with lap top computer equipment and software for the purpose of documenting inspections.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :

Section 1. That the ADOT reimbursement of up to $6,605.00 for Commercial Vehicle Inspections is accepted and appropriated as follows:
