AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING ORDINANCE 04-26, TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE HOMER ACCELERATED WATER AND SEWER PROGRAM (HAWSP) IN THE AMOUNT OF $180,000.00 TO REPLACE OLD PVC WATER PIPE WITH HDPE PIPE ALONG EAST END ROAD AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, Ordinance 04-26 was adopted on June 14, 2004 and appropriated unexpended grant money from the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) - One Million Gallon Tank Grant, account 215-829; and
WHEREAS, The DEC Grant Administrator advises that the department has reconsidered and
now these monies may not be used in this fashion; and
WHEREAS, The work is in progress and funding of the $180,000.00 must be identified; and
WHEREAS, This project falls in line with the criteria for use of HAWSP funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby amends the Funding Source in Ordinance 04-26 to
appropriate $180,000.00 for the East End Road PVC Pipe replacement as follows and that the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents:
