AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A REIMBURSABLE GRANT NOT TO EXCEED $9000.00 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AND VETERAN AFFAIRS DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR THE HAZARD MITIGATION PROJECT AND THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, The Department of Military and Veteran Affairs Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHS&EM) has granted the City a reimbursable grant in the amount not to exceed $9000.00; and
WHEREAS, The agreement states that the purpose is to provide funds for the preparation of a Hazard Mitigation Plan, which will identify hazards to the City and establish mitigation measures and response procedures.
WHEREAS, The work is being done under direct supervision of the Homer Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:
Section 1. That the DHS&EM reimbursable grant is hereby accepted and appropriated as follows:
