ORDINANCE 04-41

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING HOMER CITY CODE CHAUFFEUR=S LICENSE, PARAGRAPH 8.12.200(A)(2) TO SPECIFY THAT THE APPLICANT SHALL POSSESS A CURRENT ALASKA STATE DRIVER=S LICENSE.

WHEREAS, the Homer City Code Section 8.12.200(a)(2) currently states that an applicant for a City Chauffeur=s license shall possess a current state driver=s license, and

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Homer that licensed Chauffeurs are knowledgeable and compliant with laws within the State of Alaska, and

WHEREAS, it is required that an applicant for a Chauffeur=s license shall possess a current Alaska state driver=s license.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. That Homer City Code Section 8.12.200(a)(2) is hereby amended to read as follows:

a. To apply for, be issued and thereafter hold a Chauffeur=s license, the applicant shall possess the following qualifications:

1. The applicant shall be nineteen years of age or older;

2. The applicant shall possess a current Alaska state driver=s license;

3. The applicant shall not;

Section 2. This ordinance is a general ordinance of a permanent nature and shall be included in the City Code.
