AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A REIMBURSEMENT GRANT FROM THE ADOT/PF ALASKA HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,725.00, FOR HOLIDAY DUI ENFORCEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, The purpose and objective of this grant is to reduce deaths and injuries in Alaska caused by impaired drivers; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Police Department will conduct high visibility enforcement of Alaska's DUI laws during key holidays or special events.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby accepts and appropriates a reimbursement grant for Holiday DUI enforcement as follows and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents:
