ORDINANCE 06-23
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING A GRANT OF $60,000.00, 75% FUNDED BY THE FEDERAL SPORT FISH RESTORATION ACT AND 25% MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME, TO REPLACE THE FISH CLEANING TABLES AT RAMP 4 AND TO RELOCATE THIS CLEANING STATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, This grant is in addition to the original and amended grant IHP-04-047; and
WHEREAS, The original grant dated February 2004; provided for restroom and fish cleaning facilities;
and
WHEREAS, Amendment 1 increased the dollar amount from $325,000.00 to $365,650.00 for restroom
completion; and
WHEREAS, Amendment 2 increases the dollar about by $60,000.00 to replace the existing tables with
new ones that have improved accessibility, to move the location from the over water/ramp site to just
south of the ramp on harbor uplands, that a new location would be concrete slab design reducing
cleaning time and maintenance costs and that the new location incorporate a simple roof design to reduce
sea gull interference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Homer :
Section 1. That the grant funded by the Federal Sport Fish Restoration Act and matching funds from the
Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) for Ramp 4. fish cleaning table replacement and
relocation is hereby accepted and shall be appropriated as follows and that the City Manager is
authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
